All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

4. Limited Personal-Use License

Unless a separate written license expressly provides otherwise, purchase or lawful download of a Legacy Explained digital product grants the purchaser a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license to access and use that product solely for the purchaser’s own personal, non-commercial educational purposes.

Purchasing Content does not transfer ownership of the Content or any intellectual-property rights in the Content.

6. Professional and Commercial Use

Legacy Explained’s standard consumer products are licensed for personal educational use only unless otherwise expressly stated.

Attorneys, law firms, accountants, financial advisors, wealth-management firms, educational institutions, businesses, and other professionals may purchase Legacy Explained products for their own individual educational use on the same basis as other purchasers.

However, purchase of a consumer product does not authorize professional or commercial redistribution or client-facing use.

Without a separate written commercial or professional license, Content may not be:

  • incorporated into client presentations or educational materials;

  • reproduced in firm-branded or business-branded materials;

7. Purchases

Prices and product descriptions are displayed on the Website and are subject to change without notice.

You agree to provide current, complete, and accurate purchase and billing information.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order where reasonably necessary, including in cases of suspected fraud, unauthorized transactions, pricing errors, or violations of these Terms.

8. Digital Products and Delivery

Legacy Explained products may be delivered electronically through download links, email, an online account, or a third-party platform.

You are responsible for ensuring that you provide a valid email address and have compatible software and equipment necessary to access purchased materials.

Access methods and availability may vary by product.

9. Refund Policy

Because Legacy Explained products are digital products that may be accessed or downloaded immediately, all sales are final and non-refundable except where otherwise required by law.

If you experience a technical issue accessing a purchased product, please contact [support email], and we will make reasonable efforts to resolve the issue.

Nothing in this provision limits any non-waivable rights available under applicable law.

10. Product Updates

Unless expressly included with a particular purchase, purchase of a digital product does not entitle the purchaser to future revisions, updates, supplements, or replacement editions.

Legal and tax rules may change after a product is published. Purchasers are responsible for reviewing the publication or update date associated with Content and consulting appropriate professional advisors regarding current law.

11. User Communications

If you contact Legacy Explained, you agree not to transmit unlawful, defamatory, infringing, threatening, malicious, confidential, privileged, or otherwise inappropriate material.

Communications sent to Legacy Explained regarding legal or tax matters do not create an attorney-client relationship and should not include confidential or privileged information.

12. User-Submitted Content

If the Website permits reviews, comments, testimonials, feedback, or other submissions, you retain ownership of your original submission but grant Legacy Explained a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, display, and distribute that submission in connection with operating and promoting Legacy Explained, subject to applicable law and our Privacy Policy.

You represent that you have the right to submit such Content and that doing so does not violate another person’s rights.

13. Third-Party Services and Links

Legacy Explained may use or link to third-party websites, platforms, payment processors, social-media services, or other providers.

We do not control and are not responsible for third-party services, content, terms, privacy practices, security, availability, or performance.

Your use of third-party services may be subject to separate terms and policies.

14. Disclaimer of Warranties

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE WEBSITE, CONTENT, AND PRODUCTS ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.

LEGACY EXPLAINED DISCLAIMS, TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

LEGACY EXPLAINED DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE WEBSITE OR CONTENT WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, COMPLETELY ACCURATE, CURRENT, SECURE, OR SUITABLE FOR ANY PARTICULAR PURPOSE.

15. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, LEGACY EXPLAINED AND ITS OWNERS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, CONTRIBUTORS, AFFILIATES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF OR RELIANCE UPON THE WEBSITE, CONTENT, OR PRODUCTS.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE TOTAL LIABILITY OF LEGACY EXPLAINED ARISING FROM OR RELATING TO A PURCHASED PRODUCT WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT ACTUALLY PAID BY YOU TO LEGACY EXPLAINED FOR THE PRODUCT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.

Some jurisdictions do not permit certain exclusions or limitations of liability, so some portions of this provision may not apply to you.

16. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Legacy Explained and its owners, officers, employees, contractors, affiliates, contributors, and agents from claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, arising from or relating to your violation of these Terms, misuse of the Website or Content, infringement of third-party rights, or unlawful conduct.

17. Copyright Infringement

Legacy Explained respects intellectual-property rights.

If you believe material appearing on the Website infringes your copyright, please contact us at [copyright/contact email] with sufficient information to identify the copyrighted work, the allegedly infringing material, your contact information, and the basis for your claim.

Legacy Explained reserves the right to remove allegedly infringing material where appropriate.

18. Suspension or Termination

We may restrict, suspend, or terminate access to the Website or Content where we reasonably believe a user has violated these Terms, infringed intellectual-property rights, engaged in fraud or abuse, or otherwise misused Legacy Explained.

Termination does not eliminate obligations or restrictions that by their nature should survive termination, including intellectual-property restrictions, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and indemnification obligations.

19. Changes to the Website or Terms

We may modify the Website, Content, products, or these Terms from time to time.

The “Last Updated” date indicates when these Terms were most recently revised.

Your continued use of the Website following the effective date of revised Terms constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by applicable law.

20. Governing Law

These Terms and any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms, the Website, or Legacy Explained will be governed by the laws of the State of Nevada, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles, except to the extent applicable law requires otherwise.

21. Dispute Resolution

You and Legacy Explained agree to first attempt to resolve any dispute informally. If a dispute cannot be resolved, any claim arising out of or relating to the Website, Content, products, purchases, or these Terms will be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules and governed by the Federal Arbitration Act.

Claims must be brought individually and not as part of any class, collective, consolidated, or representative action, to the fullest extent permitted by law. Either party may bring an eligible claim in small claims court or seek appropriate court relief to protect intellectual-property rights. Nothing in this provision waives any right or remedy that cannot lawfully be waived under applicable consumer law.

These Terms are governed by Nevada law, except where applicable law requires otherwise. Any permitted court proceeding will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Clark County, Nevada, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

22. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is determined to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permitted by law or severed as necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in effect.

23. No Waiver

Failure by Legacy Explained to enforce any provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that provision or any other right.

24. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Legal Disclaimer, Privacy Policy, applicable product-specific terms, and any separate license agreement, constitute the agreement between you and Legacy Explained concerning your use of the Website and Content.

If a separate written license agreement applies to particular Content, that agreement controls in the event of a conflict regarding the scope of the license granted for that Content.
